We design the lighting to the lines of your home, install it with certified roofers, keep it perfect through Christmas Day, take it down in January, store it, and put it back up next year. You tell us the dates. That is the whole of your part.

A private design visit at your home
Billy walks the property with you, free, and designs the lighting to the lines of your house. No pressure, no catalog.

A design made for your home
Rooflines, peaks, gutter lines, dormers, columns, the garage, fence lines, walkways and beds, tree and shrub wraps, pre-lit wreaths in 48, 60 and 72 inches, and garland. Warm white is our standard; red, green, blue, gold and multi are available.

Commercial-grade materials
Minleon SMD C9 LED bulbs in Sun Warm White, custom-cut strands sized to your home, TuffClip gutter and shingle clips so nothing is nailed or stapled to your roof, and programmable outdoor timers.

Installed by certified, insured roofers
We are a Class A contractor. Our crews know slate from shingle, where to step and where not to, and how to leave a roof exactly as they found it.

You choose the dates
Installs begin in mid-October with the timers off. Your lights come on the day you say. Greenery goes up from November 1. Timers run 6pm to 11pm, or whatever you prefer.

Season support through Christmas Day
A support crew runs daily. A bulb out or a line down is fixed at no cost, usually before you notice. You get a text when we are on the way.

Takedown in January, on your schedule
January 2 through 31, at a time you choose. Every line labeled and taped, the site swept, nothing left behind.

Storage and care, included
We store, test and replace your materials in our warehouse. Your home's lighting map stays on file so years two and three go up exactly right.

Years two and three
The same design, or an updated one, with the same crew standard and the same price. Three seasons, one agreement, no surprises.

Insured to $2,000,000
A certificate of insurance is available on request, and our Virginia Class A contractor license is on every proposal.

How it works
One visit. Then it is handled.
Billy designs it at your home. Our roofers install it. You choose the date the lights come on and the date they come down. We do everything in between, this year and the next two.

Agreement
A simple three-season proposal, signed electronically. Price locked for all three years. Billed once a season, after your install is complete.
Mid-October onward
Install
A Team Leader and certified roofers arrive with everything cut to size. Rooflines, trees and beds go up in a day or two. Timers stay off until your date.
The day you choose
Lights on
Your home comes on at 6pm. Greenery goes up from November 1 if it is part of your design.
Through Christmas Day
Season support
Our support crew runs every day of the season. If anything is out, text us and it is fixed at no charge.

United Signature Lighting is a division of United Exteriors, family-owned since 2005, a Virginia Class A contractor and GAF Master Elite roofer. The people on your roof in December are the same certified crews that replace roofs in Windsor Farms in June.

Why a three-season agreement?
Because the first season carries all of the design and material cost, and the second and third are where the value shows. Your lights are cut and fitted to your home. Spreading that across three seasons lets us hold the price, keep your materials in our warehouse, and put the same crew standard on your roof every year. It also means you never have to think about it again until we call in September.
What is included?
Everything. The design visit, the design, all materials, installation, timers, season support through Christmas Day, takedown in January, storage, testing and replacement of materials, and reinstall in years two and three. There is nothing to buy and nothing for you to store.
Do I own the lights?
No, and that is the point. We own, maintain and replace them. If a bulb fails or a line is damaged, it is our problem, not yours, and it is fixed at no cost.
What if a bulb goes out?
Text or call and our support crew fixes it, usually within a day. Our crews also drive the neighborhoods in the evening during the season and often catch it before you do.
